MORE STUNNING PHOTOS

This first image is the tree of life in Kenya.

This is a road in Egypt that was damaged by a sand dune...sand dunes can reach heights of up to 1000feet

A small island of Thailand...Kind of dope. . .Something unnerving about being able to see where the land begins and ends from all directions.

A whale swimming off the Valdes peninsula of Argentina....the water looks absolutely stunning and surreal...

This is a village in Morocco

My favorite, and this is the place I have convinced myself i absolutely MUST see.... I am just copying and pasting the caption directly from magazine 13 because I wanted to explain and decided rather than paraphrasing I'd just post it as is.

Mountainous countryside near Maelifellssandur, Myrdalsjökull Region, Iceland. Once the young lava fields of Iceland cool down, life begins anew little by little. Ice, wind and water flatten and carve out shapes to begin with, then, during the summer, bacteria, lichen and fungi prepare the soil for plants, in particular mosses which adapt to an environment which remains difficult. These plants colonize the most favorable sites and terrain little by little, forming a new ecosystem.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand

taking pictures around the world...it just compels me to travel....

I got these pictures and the article from magazine13.com
